Ms. Spiller focuses her law practice on criminal defense, traffic matters, and civil cases involving families, adoptions, orders of protection, education, and injuries. With training and extensive experience as a former Assistant Prosecutor and as a criminal defense attorney, Adrienne will analyze your criminal case from all angles to ensure your rights are preserved and the best possible resolution is obtained
Fellow attorneys frequently refer complex and heavily contested civil cases to Ms. Spiller because of her litigation experience, coupled with her history of successfully resolving difficult cases in a professional manner. She is known for successfully litigating highly contested custody and divorce matters, third-party custody cases, guardianships, and more. Adrienne is also very experienced in litigating orders of protections and presented at the Missouri Bar, SOLO Small Firm Conference to fellow Missouri attorneys on how to properly handle orders of protection cases.
Adrienne also has a special place in her heart for children. She has taken on a number of cases to advocate for children, to protect their rights, and to compensate them for injuries. Adrienne consistently serves as a Guardian ad Litem for children involved in custody cases, advocates for children and parents in juvenile court, and advises parents and students on school-related disciplinary or IEP/504 issues. As a trained and compassionate advocate with extensive courtroom experience, Adrienne is an asset you want on your side.
Adrienne is active in her church and the community. She grew up in Randolph County, Missouri, and attended Moberly High School. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Juvenile Justice and Associate of Science in Law Enforcement from Missouri Southern State University in 2009, graduating with honors. Adrienne received her law degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia School of Law in May 2016. While in law school, Ms. Spiller had two different articles published in law journals and received awards for obtaining the highest grade in the class for Family Law Dispute Resolution and Wrongful Convictions, among others.
Prior to joining Gump, Faiella, & Bugalski LLC, Ms. Spiller practiced as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Randolph County, Missouri, and then as a Family Law and Adoption Attorney in Columbia, Missouri.
